Dr. Michael D. Rae, D.C.

Boise Chiropractor

NOTICE (As of 4/29/22):  Dr. Michael D. Rae, DC, PLLC recently opened his own private practice located at 1843 S. Broadway Ave. Suite 203A, (on the 2nd floor of the Broadway Professional Park Building which is on the SW corner at the intersection of Broadway Ave and Boise Ave) which is conveniently located just one block down the street from where he previously practiced for the past 13 years alongside his father and mentor, Dr. Donald D. Rae, DC at the Rae Chiropractic Center.

Dr. Mike has learned that it is imperative for any New Patients to plan for a longer first visit (usually between 45 minutes and one full hour) for “one on one” time with the Doctor (and sometimes even longer depending on how extensive or complex any particular new patient’s personal history might be.  Dr. Mike is happy to schedule accordingly, whether a New Patient wants an expedited, relatively short, “specific symptom or specific problem” Focused Exam and Initial Visit, or if they would prefer a more thorough, in-depth, holistic “whole person” approach for their First Visit/ Initial Exam.  Dr. Mike is more than happy to accommodate to the different needs of each Individual New Patient.  But it is important to let our staff know ahead of time (ideally when scheduling the First Visit/ New Patient Exam) exactly what type of care they are looking for, so that we can plan and schedule accordingly.  Dr. Mike’s goals for every New Patient; to throughly listen to everything the patient feels Dr. Mike should know and understand about them and their unique personal history, be able to conduct a thorough (but focused) exam and assessment (including any necessary Orthopedic/ Neurologic diagnostic exams/ including X-rays if necessary), and ultimately to begin care before the end of that first initial visit. The Initial treatment often includes the delivery of very specific, highly skilled (but gentle) Chiropractic Adjustments to the Joints of the Spine/ and or Extremities which are usually performed directly “by hand” as Dr. Mike is a very skilled “hands on” Adjuster (due to many years of mentoring directly under his father, Dr. Donald D. Rae, DC and due to the invaluable experience he has gained from delivering tens of thousands of adjustments on patients of all ages, sizes, and shapes) but could also include the use of Chiropractic Adjusting Instruments (such as the Activator, Impulse IQ, and/ or ArhroStim), the application of Cryotherapy (pre or post adjustment) to reduce inflammation and/ or pain, Soft Tissue Manipulation, Massage Therapy (by hand and/ or by the use of Massage Tools, or other electrical/ motorized massage Instruments), Mobilization/ Stretching, and/ or Myofascial Release (the breaking up of scar tissue/ adhesions in the connective tissues, via the use of techniques like “active release” or “passive release”, and/ or other physiotherapy modalities as permitted by Law under the definition of the scope of Practice for Chiropractic Physicians in the State of Idaho.
